TECHNOLOGICAL CHAIN FOR LIQUID PRODUCTS LYOPHILIZATION
For contact type equipment
Pouring liquid onto trays.
Typically produced by humans,
resulting in reduced purity levels
The liquid is supplied into the chamber automatically by a pump
Freezing liquids on trays.
The time depends on the thickness of the layer.
Trays are deformed due to an increase in the volume of liquid during freezing, which leads to a sharp decrease in heat transfer and, as a result, an increase in drying time
Freezing as a separate stage is not required - evaporative freezing occurs inside the chamber in a vacuum at injection speed, no additional time is required
Lyophilization
The time depends on the thickness of the layer. When the layer thickness is more than 5 mm, local high-pressure zones with water in the liquid phase appear - this reduces the quality of the resulting product
Lyophilization
Time is minimal and predictable, because product granule size does not exceed 500 microns
Collection of freeze-dried product from trays is usually done manually with spatulas, which leads to a decrease in the level of cleanliness
The finished product is automatically fed into the receiving hopper
Grinding of freeze-dried product. The finished product requires grinding - bringing it to a homogeneous fraction
No grinding is required - the freeze-dried product is a scattering of spherical granules of approximately homogeneous fraction
Packaging of the finished product
